Our standard $250 roof moss removal & treatment process:

Step 1:
Using a soft exterior brush, we lightly brush the moss free without damaging the roof shingles.
Step 2:
Using a small, battery-powered leaf blower, we blow everything off the roof in a controlled- matter, while limiting mess. More light, gentle sweeping if necessary to completely clean the roof.
Step 3:
Gutters are all cleaned out by hand and then finished with the leaf blower. Debris is disposed of in the tidiest manner possible. Any gutter or downspout repairs are made if necessary.
Step 4:
Roof is finished with a special zinc powder treatment sprinkled on ridges. Prevents moss from growing back for up to 3 years.

Why clean your roof?
If you’ve ever driven around a neighborhood in the woods or have seen a house surrounded with trees, you’ve probably seen moss growing on a roof. Not only is it kind of ugly, but it can be very damaging to the roof and the house itself. When moss grows, it likes to find the cracks and crevices on the roof which are usually in between the shingles or on any ledges it can find. Moss falls from little spores that drift around, from rain, from trees, and can even come from other roofs with moss.
The problem is when it eats away at the shingles on the roofs, it grows into the cracks between the shingles and exposes the house to water damage. Moss got into the crack by the gutters and left undisturbed for years, grew until water was able to seep into the wood of the house, causing mold and rot.

This is why we do what we do. We keep roofs clean and the homes safe.
Keeping roofs and gutters cleaned and maintained can easily add 5-15 years onto your roof life. Because let’s say you have a 40-year roof, and you let it get clogged and overgrown with moss, plants, fungi, and mold. Don’t be surprised when you need to have your roof fully replaced only after 10 or 20 years.
So now, instead of spending $20,000 for a 40-year roof, you cut your roof life in half, and you essentially lose out on thousands of dollars by having to replace the roof much sooner than you should have had to.
